Community

CTL aims to support ALL athletes – from school and local club to elite level – to have longer and happier sporting lives and be better equipped to handle the emotional, mental and practical challenges they face during their careers and in retirement.

We believe that working with the community to educate young athletes before they even enter the bubble of elite sport is one of the only ways to genuinely tackle the complex conundrum of athlete transition. We also believe that the sporting world has a responsibility to break down the stigma associated with mental health, so that not only athletes but all members of the community receive the support and guidance they need without discrimination. This support extends further into the work we do with the LGBTIQA community, to ensure sport is a safe and inclusive space for all.
