Sydney Summit

The Asia-Pacific Summit will take place from 23-25 of February 2017 at the University of Technology, Sydney

Details to follow.

How do Crossing the Line Summits work?

Moderated discussion forum plus a series of 10 minute “TED” style keynotes from athletes, former athletes and experts in the field with the goal of discussing taboo topics in the world of sport to raise awareness of them, normalise them and come up with realistic solutions that are acted on.

Our first summit in Dublin in May 2016 was a resounding success and paved the way for a Summit in the Asia Pacific Region in Sydney together with our annual event in Dublin.

The topics follow the pillars already existing throughout Crossing the Line.

Athlete Retirement (identity, process and health)

The Rabbit Hole (mental health and addictions)

LGBT athletes

Battle Scars (dealing with sporting injuries for life)

Outside the Bubble (career transition)

Anti-Doping

Over the course of the summits we use the power of storytelling to make a positive difference to the future of athletes and ex-athletes all over the world. Athlete to athlete sharing is powerful.

Who Should Attend and Why

This is an opportunity to discuss and highlight the important issues surrounding athlete wellbeing and retirement that every current and ex athlete, coach and sports administrator needs to hear. Our summits are solutions focused.
